How do I get Claude to see my RingCentral call recordings?
You can't do it from inside Claude alone: Claude has no RingCentral integration, and RingCentral's own AI writes its notes inside RingCentral, where your assistant can't see them. The missing piece is a bridge — something that fetches the recordings your phone system already makes, transcribes them, and serves the lot to Claude over MCP, the open protocol Claude uses to read outside data. That is exactly what VoipMemory is.
You connect RingCentral once. Every new recording is fetched automatically, transcribed with real speaker labels, and filed to the person and company it belongs to — alongside any email you forward. Claude gets one URL, and from then on it walks into every conversation already briefed.
RingCentral sells its own AI features at roughly $60 a seat. This is the other way round: your recordings, your assistant, one flat price that isn't per-seat arithmetic.

Emails join the same timeline
Every account comes with a private in-address like u-8f3c91a4@in.voipmemory.com. Forward or BCC anything worth keeping and it files to the sender's timeline, next to their calls. This half works with any phone system, today.
What about security?
The honest version: a transcript is as sensitive as the recording it came from, and we're the ones keeping it. So — your content is never used to train anything, ours or a vendor's, and that's contractual. Audio is never stored: it moves through memory to the transcriber and is gone. Our own support tools show metadata only. And export and delete both ship today, one click each. The Privacy Policy and DPA are written in English.
Questions
- Does VoipMemory record my calls?
- No. It fetches recordings RingCentral already made because you (or your admin) turned recording on. Responsibility for lawful recording and any announcements stays with you, exactly as it is today — see the Terms.
- Whose recordings can it see?
- Yours. Access is scoped to your own extension on our side, whatever your RingCentral permissions say — an admin account doesn't widen it.
- Does this work with ChatGPT as well as Claude?
- Yes — one MCP endpoint, either assistant. In ChatGPT it's Settings → Connectors → add a custom MCP connector, with authentication left on OAuth.
- Is my audio stored?
- Never. Recordings move through memory to the transcriber and are gone; the transcript is what we keep, encrypted, and it's never used to train anything — ours or a vendor's.
- What does it cost?
- First month $2, then $7/month flat — everything included, no per-seat pricing. Three hours of transcription come with it; after that bring your own transcription key and pay the vendor pennies an hour, or top up credits.
